This year's spelling bee took place in the cafeteria on Friday, January 26, during the school day. The participants, nominated by classroom teachers, and finalists are pictured below.

April 2006
Several Comfrey students participated in the Southwest Minnesota Spelling Bee on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Fulda Elementary School. Schools in attendance included Brewster, Edgerton, Fulda, Hills-Beaver Creek, Jackson County Central Murray County Central, Southwest Star, Windom and Worthington. Contestants were given a written test of 40 words, and the top 15-20 spellers were given an oral test. We are very proud of our good spellers!
February 2006
The participants for this year's spelling bee were chosen from grades 5 - 8 by the classroom teachers. There were 3 rounds of competition. The finalists are pictured below. The winner was able to spell "disentangled" as his final word and the win.
