March Madness 2005

Pennies for Pat

The week of February 28-March 4, 2005 was full of excitement at Comfrey Public School. It was the elementary March Madness celebration. The days were full of activities and dress-up days. We had a teacher swap, the play, The Brave Little Tailor put on by Minnesota State University theater students, we broke up into to seven groups had cookies with frosting for milk break, we ate lunch together in our groups and made giant Cat in the Hat hats, we watched movies and Elmer Evers made us all popcorn, and we had our annual carnival and talent show. Throughout the week the students brought in food for our food drive and on Friday the 6th grade class took all the food to Comfrey Enterprise grocery store to be weighed.   The students collected 400# of food for the county food shelf.  The 4th grade class donated the most with 116# of food.  All throughout the week the K-6 students and staff had a fun time.  A special thanks to all who made this fun filled week possible.
