MCAII Science testing will be May 12th -Grade 8; May 14th -grade 5 & May 19th -Grade 10 in the H.S. Computer Lab during 1st-4th period.

A NEW CAMP:  Pacesetter’s Volleyball Camp for girls going into grades 4-9.  Registration fliers for 7th-9th grade girls available in the Office.  Registration deadline is May 15th.  Send registration & payment directly to Pacesetters.

 

Summer ACT testing is Sat., June 14th, 2008.  Those students planning to take the ACT test this summer should apply by Fri., May 9th.  The next testing date is in Oct.  For more information, see Mrs. Tews ASAP.

 

REMINDER:  Driver’s Ed students, Wed., May 14th is the final parent & student class for the classroom session.  Class starts @6:30 p.m. in the same classroom

 

Seniors:  Harold C. Anderson Educational Trust Scholarship applications are available from Mrs. Tews.  Applications are due Mon., May 12th.   Return applications to Mrs. Tews.

 

Summer Employment:  Those students who are 16 yrs. old or older may apply for summer employment at the Comfrey Public School.  Approximately 30-40 hrs./week will be offered for employment.  Starting date Mon., June 2nd.  Please pick up an application from Mrs. Tews.  Application deadline is Fri., May 16th.

 

May 19th~Fine Arts Awards & Project Night @6:30.  If anyone has awards/presentation also, please contact Ms. Lee-Hesse.

 

Staff:  Turn in your Continuing Ed forms.  The Continuing Ed Committee will meet in the Lounge Wed., May 7th  3:15-4:00 & every Wed. until our work is done.

2008 Comfrey Summer Recreation Program:  Mr. Stresemann will again be in charge of this year’s program. Copies of the 2008 Comfrey Program will be handed out to all students K-9 next Tues./Wed., May 13-14.  Please return the registration sheet with your payment-payable to Comfrey Community Education by Wed., May 28.  Put in envelope, seal, & give to your teacher (grades K-6) or Mr. Mutzke (grades 7-9).  Mr. Streseman will pick up from school on Fri., May 30th.

 

2 Tournaments at 2008 Comfrey Community Randy Armbruster Comfrey Alumni Basketball Tournament (6 teams, 7 games)-Noon –7:15.

 

Sun., July 13th at Comfrey North Park & HS Field-1st Annual Cory Augustin Comfrey Alumni Coed Softball Tournament (8teams, 11 games) –11:30 a.m. –7:30 p.m.
